Coach Arteta does not guarantee Kieran Tierney's future

Coach Mikel Arteta does not guarantee Kieran Tierney will stay at Arsenal after the summer transfer window because of the player's meager playing time.

Kieran Tierney is said to be ready to leave Arsenal because of the lack of playing time this season. Oleksandr Zinchenko is the preferred player to start at left-back and this puts Tierney on the bench.

Coach Arteta does not guarantee Kieran Tierney's future

There are rumors that Newcastle are interested in the Scottish star. And coach Arteta has just spoken about the possibility of a transfer happening next summer.

When asked about the possibility of Tierney leaving, Arteta replied: "I don't know. I'm not thinking about that. I'm thinking about what's best for the team and of course the players have the right to claim the minutes they deserve. We will try to meet the requirements in the next few matches.”

Coach Arteta also gave words of encouragement to Graham Potter, a colleague who is under a lot of pressure when leading Chelsea. More than 45,000 users signed up to call for Potter's sacking after the face-to-face defeat to Tottenham over the weekend.

“We are colleagues and we all know the pressures, demands and uncertainties of this industry. After all, the ball has to roll into the net and there are many factors out of your control that can prevent that. So I totally sympathize with him, because I've suffered myself and I know what he's going through at this stage."
